Spinning records out of San Francisco, Panic City has had the pleasure of sharing the decks with some of the nation's hottest DJ's. Honing his craft with the wealth of talent surrounding him, the headlines begin.
Not your typical club DJ, Panic City brings the party to life with his turntable skills and self-produced remixes. Citing the late DJ AM as his #1 inspiration, Panic continues to carry on the live element of being a DJ. Performing trademark mixes to keep the energy through the roof and use clever scratching routines to gain crowd reaction, Panic City makes it a priority to perform every time he steps behind the DJ booth.
Well versed in many aspects of the DJ game, Panic continues to expand his territory in the industry. Having graced the airwaves alongside the biggest DJs in the country, Panic City now focuses his talent to the production game, already having several highly successful releases on Crooklyn Clan subsidiary, Crack4djs.
"It's tough for me to stay fixated on one genre. I'm big on house music, hip hop, indie, Rock...everything. I need to keep things exciting, keep everyone involved, and keep the women dancing." says DJ Panic City. As a music lover Panic says, "my favorite part about my job is when people come to the DJ booth and give me recognition for rocking a party with tracks they didn't think a club DJ would play." San Francisco dj and producer MyKill has often been cited as "one of the most energetic dj's in the Bay Area". His passion for music and love of entertaining takes him to different audiences every weekend. Having performed in almost every major club in the Bay Area he has held residencies at various venues such as Trigger, 1015 Folsom, Paradise Lounge, Fahrenheit (SJ), and the Beauty Bar as well as playing signature party nights from the likes of Blow Up, Bootie, Electro Pop Rocks, Glam, and the Academy of Sciences "Nightlife" event. Hailing from Phoenix originally he's performed all over the Southwest, Mexico, California, and now even holds a current residency in Anchorage, Alaska. Known for playing a wide variety of sounds from Electro to House, Hip Hop, and Club music all seamlessly mixed together with his own signature style and energy. He's also known to release mixes on a regular basis and received quite a bit of praise on his "Club Killers" series documenting the new marriage of electro and top 40 music.
With over thirteen years experience behind the turntables he recently entered the world of production and signed with the upcoming SF label Solid Bump Records. While his dj sets tend to include a mix of just about everything his productions are focused more on the "French style" of funky and filtered house music His first release "Love Story" on Pleasure & Pressure Vol 2 was met with stellar response. The EP was #1 on Turntable Lab for 4 straight weeks and the single was featured in the latest Party Ben mix which aired on House Nation 99.7FM. He was recently interviewed by SF Station and invited to do a mix for Ross FM's show "The Bounce" on Pulse HD Radio. With features on XLR8R.com and a number of music blogs, MyKill now looks towards the future with new remixes, another single, and eventually his own EP on the label.
